G. Mitchell Eckel, III, J.D., L.L.M.

Mr. Eckel is a graduate of Harvard Law School and holds a Master of Laws in Taxation degree from Boston University School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy and has over twenty five years of practice as a lawyer. He is admitted to the Bars of Massachusetts and New Hampshire and is qualified to practice before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the New Hampshire Supreme Court, the Massachusetts and New Hampshire Federal District Courts and the United States Tax Court and First Circuit Court of Appeals.

He concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning/administration, probate, taxation and general corporate and business planning areas. He is a member of the Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Boston Bar Associations with section memberships in the Taxation, Business Law, Estate Planning, and Trusts and Estates sections and committees. He is also a member of the national and Massachusetts chapters of NAELA, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and is a past member of the Chapter Board of Directors.

He is a principal of the Eckel, Morgan & O'Connor Law Office. Previously, he was a partner in several Boston law firms including Hamilton, Dahmen & Randall, Grabill & Ley, Inc., and Barron & Stadfeld, P.C. He has been awarded the "AV" professional rating, the highest rating of the Martindale-Hubbell Rating System for attorneys.

Married with three sons, Mr. Eckel resides in Concord, Massachusetts. He presently serves as Treasurer of the Trinitarian Congregational Church in Concord and is a former member of the Town of Concord Cemetery Committee and a past chair of the Troop Committee of the Boy Scout Troop 132 in Concord.

Prior to attending law school Mr. Eckel served with the United States Air Force flying B-47 and C-130 aircraft. He served in Vietnam in Special Operations (SOG) flying the MC-130 "blackbird" aircraft equipped with the Fulton Recovery System and is the holder of the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star and Air Medals.
